Old Navy: We Are We
2020 has been an unprecedented years for more reasons than one. The racial reckoning that emerged this past summer caused everyone to look inward in how they were being true allies and supporters to Black community. Old Navy acted quickly by stating their action plan to improve their numbers in diversity and ways that they could improve both internally and externally. When they said they wanted to create a spot that highlights the Black Lives Matter movement and the importance of coming together, we were honored to have the space to create something that commerates a movement and the people who’ve been in the forefront all along.

The spot features five real activists that range from 15 year old Marley Dias, an author, activist and founder of #1000BlackGirlBooks to Dawn Bozeman, an activist for equity in education for over 17 years. She also happens to be my mom. Click to learn more about each activist, their passions and how to help them in their mission: Ja’Mal Green, Shay Wood, Marley Dias, Sara Mora + Dawn Bozeman.
